Become Part of Catalyst Church

Here at Catalyst Church, we love meaningful church membership. We love membership because we love the local church. We love the church because Jesus loves the church.

We will likely have a different type of membership process than you have probably experienced before, and it is because we want to get to know you so we can shepherd you as best we can. We want you to know that you are more than just a number or name on a list.

When you join as a member, we are welcoming you into a family, and we take that very seriously. We want you to feel that in a tangible way, and not feel like you are just being shoved through a system.

A Personalized Process

Meeting with Pastor Nate is one of the first steps...he will share our vision, mission, and values with you; as well as other explanations of our desire to serve as Christ in our community.

Pastor Nate prepared a three-part message series on Commencing Catalyst: Owning the Mission, which we'd like you to also watch.

Catalyst Christmas – Jesus Changes Everything

“Silent Night” is a beautiful Christmas carol that speaks of the wonderful gift of Jesus coming to earth to save the world. It was a powerful enough message that it calmed the actions of war for a few hours on December 24, 1914. It also contains a message that applies to us today: Jesus changes everything. The hymn speaks of peace, and Pastor Nate talked today about seeking peace in a specific order: Peace with God Inner peace with ourselves Peace with others How do we experience peace with God? Recognize that God opens our eyes to our sinfulness; believe and confess our neediness and sinfulness; accept that He forgives past, present, and future sins – and we experience that peace because of Jesus. Romans 5:6-11 Isaiah 9:6 Matthew 1:21 Romans 5:1 How do we bring God’s peace into our daily lives? Pastor Nate spoke of praying to God throughout every day, not just when the big problems come up, but when anything comes up. When we humble ourselves and rely on his message of peace and forgiveness, He will help us through every part of our day. 1 Peter 5:6-9 How can we have peace with others? Pastor Nate talked through many Scripture verses that addressed this. We cannot accomplish any of the things mentioned in these verses on our own. We need to be driven by the Spirit to pursue peace. Matthew 5:9 Romans 12:18 Romans 14:19 Colossians 3:15 Hebrews 12:14 1 Peter 3:10-11 As you move through the days leading up to Christmas, remember this catalyst moment: Jesus changes everything!
