Here at Catalyst Church, we love meaningful church membership. We love membership because we love the local church. We love the church because Jesus loves the church.
We will likely have a different type of membership process than you have probably experienced before, and it is because we want to get to know you so we can shepherd you as best we can. We want you to know that you are more than just a number or name on a list.
When you join as a member, we are welcoming you into a family, and we take that very seriously. We want you to feel that in a tangible way, and not feel like you are just being shoved through a system.
A Personalized Process
Meeting with Pastor Nate is one of the first steps...he will share our vision, mission, and values with you; as well as other explanations of our desire to serve as Christ in our community.
Pastor Nate prepared a three-part message series on Commencing Catalyst: Owning the Mission, which we'd like you to also watch.

This week we look at Biblical leadership and how God designed the church to be led. How did the various roles support the overall mission of the church and people in Biblical times – and how do those roles fit our mission today?
Pastor Nate gave details about the Elders of the church and how they shepherded and cared for the flock. Scripture calls upon Elders to lead the church, teach the Word, protect the church from false teaching, pray for the sick, use proper judgement in theological and doctrinal matters.
We looked at the Biblical roles and how our local church governance should move toward a more Biblical model of governance, based on these roles. Pastor Nate concluded with an important summary that while the character of God never changes, He does new things. The Great Commission assures us that He will be with us always, even through new things we take on as a church body.
