CloseSlow to Anger We exist because of God being slow to anger. God's anger is right and we deserve it, but God holds it back from us giving us time to repent and confess. We should worship him in greater ways because of his patience with us and that includes mirroring his patience with others. God’s slowness to anger is part of His name, His patience is intentional. God has every right to be angry, yet He chooses mercy. God’s slowness to anger is meant to lead us to repentance. The cross is the ultimate proof of how patient God really is. Pastor Nate also provided a helpful guide for daily prayer, following the five steps of the Examen method: Become aware of God’s presence, Give thanks, Review your day, Face your shortcomings and ask for forgiveness, and Look ahead to tomorrow.
