The book of 1 Samuel, Chapter 28 walks us through some strange events involving Saul and his disobedience to God. We can examine our own discipleship growth in comparison. A big part of discipleship is doing what God has told us to do; including confession and repentance. Discipleship is seeking the face of God before seeking the hand of God. When God appears to be silent, if does not give us permission to seek forbidden sources of guidance. What do we do when God seems silent? Don’t run away from Him, run toward Him. Obey what God has already told you. Don’t chase spiritual experiences; build your faith on Jesus Christ and His Word.
