Bearing With One Another
As we do and share life with others more and more, we must realize that people will hurt us, rub us the wrong way, offend and annoy us. What is the best way for us to prepare ourselves for this and specifically respond in the right way? What is our biggest problem in this regard? How can we train ourselves to do what Jesus would do if he were us? How can we love the people who do these things to us? Ways we can practically bear with one another: Assume the best before the worst; Be patient with people’s weaknesses; Choose forgiveness quickly; Speak the truth gently; Carry one another’s burdens; Be slow to take offense; Remember how God has treated you; Pray for the person who frustrates you; Set healthy boundaries when needed.
