CloseBear the Burdens of Others Loving one another means that we will bear the burdens of others. This means we are in relationship with others, and when we know or see them going through difficulty, we step towards them to carry the load. Burdens can be a variety of circumstances: spiritual struggles or temptation, grief and loss, physical illness, financial hardship, emotional distress, the consequences of sin. Throughout the Bible, believers are encouraged to step in and help when someone’s burden is too heavy. Do we have these types of relationships? Are we willing to put down our lives for a while to help others carry the heaviness of theirs? This is Spirit-led work that makes us look like Jesus, who left his life in heaven to lift the heavy load of our sin and give us freedom.
