CloseAttributes of God - Conclusion As we reviewed the attributes that God spoke to Abraham, we want to remember that while we study these individually, we need to keep the whole in mind. All of these of these attributes are connected and we need to see them in connection. Today, we review the individual attributes and then see them in connection. God’s attributes we’ve learned about include: Merciful (God doesn’t give us what we deserve; Gracious (God gives us what we don’t deserve); Slow to Anger (He is patient and gives us time to confess and repent; Steadfast Love (God has a love that never lets us go); Faithfulness (He will never leave us or not keep His promises); Forgiving (He provides a way for our sinfulness and sins to be pardoned; and Just (Punishment must and will happen to sin and sinners). All of these attributes rest on each other. The greatest gift of love ever given was a beautiful picture of God’s attributes working together in beautiful harmony…all meeting at the cross of Jesus Christ.
