CloseIn this section of David's life, he has a great desire to worship God as the ark is brought home, but he wasn't careful in “how” it was done. Specifically, how God wanted David to obey him as far as the ark was to be used. God desires good intentions, but he expects obedient actions. They didn’t follow how God wanted the ark cared for, and there were consequences. This is a story of grace and mercy to people who had taken God for granted. How many mistakes in our lives could we have avoided if we had first sought the will of God…and followed His plan? What can we learn about God and ourselves based on this amazing story?
