Judging the Right Way
“Judge not” is a phrase we know well. Jesus said it, culture reminds the church not to judge, and yet, we tend to judge anyway. What does Jesus mean when he says judge not, take the plank out of your eye, and don’t throw your pearls before the pigs? What does this message teach us about how we deal with other people? Jesus communicates to the spiritual leaders what he communicates to us today – don’t judge, don’t condemn people! Look inside yourself and see that you need grace and mercy too. And, if you want grace and mercy, you must be prepared to give it as well.
