CloseWhen we think about the approaching days of Christmas and New Years, we start to experience a feeling of being filled up. Filled up with food, family and friends. It's a good time for us to evaluate how we fill ourselves throughout the year. Being full all the time leads us to forgetting God, distraction, comfort and control, attachment to lesser things, being numb to the Spirit’s movement, and reduced self-control. Are we filling ourselves up with the right things…or are we falling in with our culture and the sins of excess (gluttony, lust and greed)? Scriptures referenced: Proverbs 30:8-9; Philippians 3:17-19; Ephesians 5:15-21; Philippians 4:4-7; Romans 13:11-14.
Scripture References: Ephesians 5:15-21
