Pray for One Another
We know in our minds that prayer is vital and essential to the Christian life, but do our actions demonstrate that we truly believe what we say about the importance of prayer? We are called to pray, we are called to pray for others. Are we obeying the word of God? Is prayer for others on our lips throughout the day? Our prayer life is one of the clearest places where the rubber meets the road between head knowledge and what we truly can prove with our life that we believe. God calls His people not merely to pray privately, but to pray with and for one another. Highlights to consider: We are to pray with one another in times of suffering; call the church when you are weak; pray for one another because we need one another; prayer creates a church where we can be honest; prayer is one of the greatest ways we love one another; pray fervently for one another; keep praying for one another; don’t just say “I’ll pray for you” …actually pray!
